SpecialisationsThe available specialisation for 2007 is Commercialising Science and Technology. This specialisation will appeal to medical, science and engineering graduates. The key element of this specialisation is that it has been specifically developed to assist students in the commercialisation of leading edge medical/scientific research and development projects. The specialisation comprises units from the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and the Monash Graduate School of Business, and introduces students to the concepts of business, the commercialisation of science, issues such as intellectual property and patents, trade secrets and allied rights and contemporary management and organisational issues in today’s demanding business environment. These units are designed to challenge, stimulate and develop professional management performance by applying a broad combination of theoretical and practical approaches to the management of complex organisations.
