Synopsis: The Honours year aims to develop analytic abilities, research skills, and communication skills, as well as provide students with advanced knowledge in specific areas of physiology. In this unit, students will gain experience in critical reading of scientific literature, scientific communication skills, and the use of statistical tools for analysis. Further, core and optional lectures/tutorials on advanced aspects of physiology and other training areas provide a means to broaden their knowledge and skills.

Assessment: Essay (2000 words): 20% + Statistics assignment: 20% + Review of literature in selected area (4000 words): 20% + Critique of unseen scientific paper: 40%
