Synopsis: The Honours year aims to develop analytic abilities, research skills, and communication skills, as well as provide students with advanced knowledge in specific areas of physiology. In this unit, training is in the context of a scientific project, with an aim to also develop broad generic skills. Students undertake a supervised research project forming the basis of a thesis presented at the end of the year and involving research of a publishable standard. They also present seminars on their research, and are trained in advanced scientific techniques.

Assessment: Research thesis: 85% + Two seminars: 15%
