Synopsis: This unit advances prior learning in the fields of international management and human resource management. The specific area of inquiry in international human resource management is the personnel function in the increasingly diverse and complex environment of internationalisation. Based on the premise that people are a source of competitive advantage for international organisations, this unit analyses the environment, role and function of international HRM.
Assessment: Individual assignment (2500 words): 25% + Individual assignment (3000 words): 35% + Syndicate written (4000 words): 40%
Contact Hours: One 3-hour class per week
Prerequisites: MGX9850, MGX9500 and a further 12 credit points of study at 9000-level
