Synopsis: This unit introduces the student to independent research. Most projects are software-oriented, although some projects may be purely theoretical and others may involve hardware work.

Assessment: Final Report and Final Presentation (85%), Written Research Skills Assignment (5%), Presentations (10%)

Contact Hours: Two hours of lecture/seminar per week

Prohibitions: Comp Sc Hons Project or Dig Sys Hons Project or other Hons Project from the Faculty of IT.
