Synopsis: This unit allows students to investigate a particular industry application of business systems. Projects can include: design, development, prototyping and testing of a significant piece of software, an in-depth exploration and report on a leading edge piece of information technology, a literature review, a single or multiple-case study of real-life business problems in industry. Project topics must be approved by the supervisor and project coordinator prior to enrolment.
Assessment: The type of assessment will depend upon the project type. Possible deliverables include: A working software prototype, its plan and supporting test, design and user documentation, an extensive report of the results of the investigation and/or an oral presentation.
