It provides them with the opportunity to develop their clinical skills within a general practice setting. Recognition of prior learning is available. Entry requirementsApplicants are required to be currently registered by the medical board in their respective state, or have a qualification which is eligible to be registered in a state of the commonwealth. A minimum of two years of work experience is essential, and preference will be given to applicants currently employed and who have been active in general practice for a minimum of two years. Special consideration may be given to suitably qualified overseas graduates residing in their own country. Recognition of prior learning is available to those applying directly into the Master of Family Medicine (Clinical) and who hold the FRACGP qualification or equivalent. Course structureThe course is offered part-time over three years by off-campus learning, or full-time over one year should students have completed the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine.
