Units indexed by faculty Graduate certificatesAny variations to the criteria listed below are listed in the individual course entries. Entry requirementsCandidates for admission to graduate certificate courses require a pass degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification and, usually, relevant employment experience. DurationGraduate certificates are normally completed in one semester of full-time study or part-time equivalent. Advanced standingCandidates may be eligible for advanced standing for a maximum of two units (12 points) if previous study is considered to be equivalent to particular units in the course of study. Advanced standing is restricted to study undertaken in the last five years and must be approved by the course director. Progression to further studiesStudents who complete a graduate certificate are eligible to apply for admission to a range of graduate diplomas or masters offered by the faculty. Students may apply for advanced standing up to a maximum of four units towards the relevant graduate diploma or masters depending upon the units that have been studied in the graduate certificate.
