Synopsis: The unit will follow some central themes in twentieth century philosophy. The first half of the seminars will revolve around student-initiated discussions. www.arts.monash.edu.au/phil/undergraduate/
Assessment: Essay (3000 word): 50% + Assignment (1500 words): 50% + Either of these components may optionally be replaced by a 3 hour examination.
Contact Hours: 2 hour (1 x 2 hour seminar) per week
Prerequisites: A first-year sequence in Philosophy and two 6-point second-year Philosophy units including at least one of PHL2110, PHL2130 or PHL2170, a basic competence in logic is required.
