Synopsis: Students will further develop skills in 3D design, modeling and theory covered previously in MMS2405 Foundations of 3D as well as introducing students to the native scripting language of the 3D software environment. The unit will also cover advanced theories and techniques of 3D software packages and integration with other Digital Media software.
Assessment: Assessment 1 Planning for Animation 30% Assessment 2 Preparing Organic Models for Animation 30% Assessment 3 Animation Project 40%
Off-campus attendance requirements: The Student workload requirement is 12 hours per week for 13 weeks. Students will attend one 1 hour lecture and one 3 hour tutorial/seminar session per week. Students are expected to spend a further 8 hours on individual study and assignment work, including research and computer laboratory work beyond these normal class hours.
