Clayton Second semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: The thermodynamics of air standard power cycles and their relationship to real cycles. An introduction to fuels and combustion chemistry. Aircraft and space flight engines, their operation and performance. Propellers; an introduction to blade theory, design, operation and performance.
Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 70% + Assignments, projects and laboratory reports: 30%
