Synopsis: Energy, first and second law of thermodynamics, properties and state of substances, control volume and control mass energy analysis, steady flow systems, characteristics of thermodynamic systems, thermodynamics of non-reacting mixtures.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Laboratory work: 30%

Contact Hours: 22 lecture hours and 22 practice class/laboratory hours

Prerequisites: ENG1101 and ENG1902
