Synopsis: Component 1: Language. Syllabus, assessment and textbooks as for GRN1010. Component 2: Social and cultural history of German-speaking countries from the End of World War II to the present day.

Objectives: Component 1 and component 2: By the end of this semester, students should have acquired the knowledge and skills as outlined in the objectives for first semester.

Assessment: As for GRN1010

Contact Hours: 5 hours (1 x lecture and 4 x tutorials) per week
