Clayton Second semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: Air data and air data systems; control of aircraft dynamics; fly by wire flight control; inertial sensors and systems; navigational systems; display and man machine interaction; auto pilots and flight management systems; radar, communications systems; flight instrumentation; avionics systems integration; electromagnetic interference and compatibility. An introduction to electromagnetic fields; their generation, propagation and reception, for communications and as interference. An introduction to modulation theory and noise.
Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Tests and assignments: 30%
Contact Hours: 30 lectures, 30 laboratory and practice classes hours
Prerequisites: ECE2002 or ECE2610
