Synopsis: Current practice for securing computer systems and open networks and the legal responsibilities of organisations that maintain databases of personal information. The syllabus includes securing computer systems; privacy in Australia and securing open systems.
Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 70% + Assignment: 30%
Contact Hours: 2.5 hours per week
Prerequisites: Two computer technology units
