Synopsis: The aim of this subject is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify security problems which may arise in a networked computing environment and to explore modern security technologies that may be used to prevent or resolve such problems.
Assessment: Practical assignments: 40%, Unit test: 10%, Final exam: 50%.
Contact Hours: 4 hours
Prerequisites: CPE1001, CPE1002, plus a further 6 points of Network Computing units.
