Synopsis: Students will undertake a research project in an area of accounting and/or finance. The research project will involve the student carrying out a research proposal developed in AFC4400 Research Proposal. The completed research project will demonstrate skills in research methods, data analysis, statistical methods, and written communication.
Objectives: On completion of this unit, students will be able to: 1. Apply the methodology outlined in their research proposal to address the identified hypotheses; 2. Assemble the relevant data identified in the research proposal and analyse it using appropriate statistical methods; 3. Discuss the results obtained; and 4. Write up the research project.
Assessment: Written assessment: (10,000 words): 100%
Contact Hours: No formal classes
Prerequisites: Only available to students enrolled in Accounting and Finance Honours. Requires departmental invitation to enrol based on completion of AFC4400 at a high standard.
