Graduate Certificate in Wound Care

Course code: 2982 ¸ Course abbreviation: GradCertWoundCare ¸ 1 year part-time ¸ Off-campus (Parkville)

This course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to enable health professionals and veterinary surgeons to effectively manage acute and chronic wounds. The course comprises five core units and three electives. On completion of the graduate certificate, students can progress to the Graduate Diploma in Wound Care and the Master of Wound Care, without exiting the program.

Entry requirements

An undergraduate degree in an appropriate health discipline and at least two years clinical relevant experience.

Course structure

Students are required to complete five core units and three elective units:

Up to two units can be taken as non-award units, with credit available towards future award courses.
All units are delivered by flexible learning, with a comprehensive set of study materials provided to each student. Students must have personal computer access to a reasonable internet connection with Netscape or MS Explorer browser, MS Office software and a CD-ROM drive.
