Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health

Course description

This course, offered by the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, provides a program for professionals in the workplace who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in preventive occupational health practice. It provides the basic knowledge in legal OHS requirements and competence in assessing and controlling workplace hazards and articulates with the Graduate Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Health and then the Master of Occupational and Environmental Health or the Master of Public Health.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline and relevant professional experience. The department will individually assess applications from students without a three-year degree.

Course structure

The course is offered part-time over one year by off-campus learning, with compulsory block requirements each semester. Students are required to complete four core units.
