Clayton First semester 2005 (OCL)
Synopsis: How to recognise, evaluate and control hazards in workplaces arising from substances, sound, radiation and micro-organisms. Principles and practice of occupational hygiene including the use of simple instruments, ventilation, microbiological safety, radiation safety, personal protective clothing and workplace substances laws. Hygienic standards and their various forms and notations. The difficulties of assessing prior exposures for medico-legal and epidemiological purposes.
Assessment: Web-based tasks + Assignments + Examination
