Course description

This course is designed for people who are working or intend to work in any area of management, with a particular interest in human resources. The course is designed for experienced managers without a prior degree who wish to undertake formal study and gain a qualification in human resource management. It will also enable managers to make the transition to a new role in human resource management.

Course structure

Students must complete four units (24 credit points)
(a) Students must complete two core units (12 credit points)

(b) Students must complete one unit (six credit points) from either:

(c) Students must complete one elective unit (6 credit points) from 9000-level units taught by the Department of Management, other departments in the Faculty of Business and Economics, or other faculties of Monash University.
Students who successfully complete the Executive Certificate in Human Resources may apply for admission to either the Graduate Diploma in Human Resources or the Master of Human Resource Management and would be eligible for advanced standing for four units.
