Off-Campus Learning Guide 2005

Graduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound

Course code: 3432 + Off-campus (Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, Clayton) + Full-fee-paying course: $TBC (Australian residents); $7250 (international students)

The course is intended for radiographers or other suitably qualified health professionals who seek to become accredited medical breast sonographers or wish to gain an understanding of medical ultrasound.

Entry requirements

Applicants will generally be graduates of a degree program in radiography and medical imaging or equivalent, who have a minimum of 12 months postgraduation experience and have attained their Statement of Accreditation of the Australian Institute of Radiography. The Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences will individually assess applicants holding other qualifications.

Course structure

The course consists of four units that are completed over a minimum of one year of part-time study (two 18-week semesters).
