Unless otherwise stated in the individual course entry sections of this publication, or previously in the `General faculty information' section, information on entry requirements, contact details and application procedures for undergraduate courses are standard and are listed below.
Units 1 and 2 - two units (any combination) of General Mathematics and/or Mathematical Methods. Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 25 in English (any).
Applicants may also satisfy entry requirements with qualifications equivalent to VCE, eg TAFE qualifications or comparable Year 12 qualifications, including International Baccalaureate, or other approved tertiary study.
Students who have not successfully completed VCE or equivalent may satisfy entry requirements by successfully completing at least two Monash non-award single units or Open Learning (OLA) units. A pass in a mathematics subject at Year 11 or above is essential for entry. Assessment is by a combination of assignments and final examination for each unit. Generally a pass is required in the final examination to pass the unit.
