Synopsis:

Objectives: As a result of studying this unit students will be able to describe, analyse and justify what they regard to be educative teaching and explain how this can vary with context and purpose. Related to this, students will be able to identify various dimensions and elements in others' teaching and use these understandings to inform their own plans to teach practice.

Assessment: Written assignment (1000 words): 25% + A major assignment based on practicum experience (1600 words): 40% + A written assignment (1400 word equivalence): 35% + Attendance requirement: Eighty percent + Hurdle requirement: 5 days observation
