Industry Internship (12 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: (1) To develop students' skills to undertake a critical analysis of a project or firm associated with the tourism industry. (2) To develop students' capacity to underdertake an independent research project. (3) To develop practical work skills in an industry environment. (4) To develop an understanding of the key concepts of management and how it applies to the tourism industry.

Assessment: Industry placement Report 4,500 words 50%, Research Essay 4,500 words 50%

Prerequisites: High Credit average in ATD4010, ATD4120, ATD4140 and permission from course co-ordinator
