The Postgraduate Diploma of Education (School Leadership) is designed to meet the needs of teachers from all sectors who aspire to school principal appointments.
To be eligible for admission to the course, applicants must hold either an approved three-year bachelors degree and an approved fourth year of study, or an approved four-year bachelors degree, or have qualifications or experience considered by the faculty board to be equivalent to, or a satisfactory substitute for, the above awards.
The course consists of 48 credit points of study. Students will complete four 12-point units (up to four specialist elective units and/or up to one general elective unit):

Candidates who successfully complete the Postgraduate Diploma of Education (School Leadership) may complete a masters degree by undertaking up to a further two units (including a research core unit).
The Postgraduate Diploma of Education (School Leadership) requires a minimum of at least one year of full-time study and no more than three years of part-time study. Each of the units is one semester in length. The expected number of hours per week for a part-time student is 24.
