Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Leadership, Policy and Change)

The Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Leadership, Policy and Change) is designed for teachers, educators and other professionals wishing to develop their knowledge and skills in leadership and policy development.

Admission requirements

To be eligible for admission to the course, applicants must hold either an approved three-year bachelors degree and an approved fourth year of study, or an approved four-year bachelors degree, or have qualifications or experience considered by the faculty board to be equivalent to, or a satisfactory substitute for, the above awards.

Course outline

The course consists of 24 credit points of study. Students will complete two 12-point units chosen from the following list:

Candidates who successfully complete the Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Leadership, Policy and Change) may complete a postgraduate diploma or a masters degree by undertaking a further two or four units respectively.

Course length/workload required

The Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Leadership, Policy and Change) requires a minimum of at least one semester of full-time study and no more than two years of part-time study. Each of the units is one semester in length. The expected number of hours per week for a part-time student is 24.
