The Graduate Certificate in Regional Community Development is designed for regionally based workers from diverse sectors who have a responsibility to engage with community groups: local government, health, agriculture, tourism, economic development, adult education, housing, enterprise development, Indigenous programs, neighbourhood houses, recreation, arts and culture, church and community organisations, women's groups and environmental programs.

Admission requirements

The minimum requirement for entry is one of the following:

English proficiency requirements

Applicants who are not native speakers of English will be required to demonstrate substantial competence in written and spoken English before admission. These requirements are:
(i) education in full English medium in an English-speaking country, or

(ii) IELTS - 7.0 global (no score below 6); TOEFL - 600 with TWE of 5; computer-based TOEFL - 250.

The course will comprise 24 credit points of part-time study over two semesters. There will be four six-point units as follows:

Course length/workload required

The Graduate Certificate in Regional Community Development is equivalent to 24 credit points of study, normally completed over one year of part-time study. The expected number of hours per week for a part-time student is 24.
