Course code: 1754 + School of Nursing, (Gippsland campus - off-campus learning; Peninsula campus - mixed mode) + Full-fee-paying course: $8800 (Australian residents); $9600 (international students) + Course coordinators: Ailsa Rickards (Gippsland) and Joan Yalden (Peninsula)
This course is offered part-time via off-campus learning or by mixed mode over two years. The mixed-mode course includes the combination of off-campus learning study materials, on-campus seminars and clinical fieldwork. The course structure consists of three core units and five specialist units in gerontics.
Applicants would normally have relevant registration (eg Division 1 with the Nurses Board of Victoria), with at least one year of nursing experience, and have a degree in nursing or related discipline. Experience in the relevant area of practice is desirable.

Assessment includes assignments, an individual student learning contract, program development, research proposal, computer assessment and project.
At Peninsula, there will be a series of seminars on campus throughout the semester to support study materials and clinical fieldwork.
