Course code 3405 + Monash Institute of Health Services Research, Centre of Medical Informatics, Monash Medical Centre, Clayton + Full-fee-paying course: $10,800 (Australian residents); $17,500 (international students)
The course is designed to meet the educational needs of health professionals who need to upgrade their knowledge and understanding of the rapidly changing issues of information technology in the health arena.
Australian candidates enrolled in the diploma will be eligible for an appropriate number of points for vocational registration purposes.
Candidates should have completed the Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics. Preference will be given to applicants who are currently employed in a senior position in a health-related area.
Candidates are required to have access to a computer and the internet.
The course will be undertaken full-time over one year or part-time over two years and comprises five core units:
Assessment consists of essays, assignments and case study work.
Credit may be granted for work previously completed in the Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics. All cases will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
