The Postgraduate Diploma of Education (Leadership, Policy and Change) is designed to meet the needs and interests of leaders and managers of educational institutions, teachers, academics and personnel working in a variety of human service organisations who exercise formal or informal leadership responsibilities for the delivery of educational and related services.

The course consists of 48 credit points of study. Students will complete four 12-credit point units (three specialist elective units and one general elective unit).
Students are to choose any one postgraduate unit relevant to
their course as approved by the course coordinator.

Candidates who successfully complete the Postgraduate Diploma of Education (Leadership, Policy and Change) may complete a masters degree by undertaking up to a further two units (including a research core unit) respectively.
Assessment is by way of a combination of tasks, which may include examinations, assignments and other set tasks.
The Postgraduate Diploma of Education (Leadership, Policy and Change) requires a minimum of at least one year of full-time study and no more than three years of part-time study. Each of the units is of one semester in length. The expected number of hours per week for a part-time student is 24.
Applicants contemplating admission to this course may seek formal credit or recognition of prior learning. Applicants should apply for credit/RPL prior to enrolment. The Faculty of Education considers each application on its merit within the context of the faculty guidelines on credit transfer.
