Critical and creative social work theory and practice (6 points)

Synopsis: The unit comprises two parts. 'Critical and Creative Social Work Theory and Practice' is a critical examination of social work theory as a basis for the integration of social work knowledge and practice. 'Child Abuse and Child Protection' uses the same principles in a critical examination of the child protection field.

Assessment: Critical and Creative Social Work Theory and Practice - Essay (3000 words): 70% + Child Abuse and Child Protection - Essay (1500 words): 30%

Contact Hours: 2 hours per week

Prerequisites: SWK4410. Social Work units are available only within the context of the Bachelor of Social Work degree, or with permission.
