Foundations of Public Relations (6 points)

Synopsis: Introduction to the theory and practice of public relations. Economic, social, ethical, legal and theoretical basis of the field. Critical analyses of the roles and responsibilities of public relations people in organisational and societal settings. Public relations processes in organisational and societal contexts.

Assessment: On-campus students: Essay (1200 words): 20%+ Folio Project (2000 words): 40% + Exam (1300 words): 30% + Tutorial attendance and participation/presentation:10% + Off-campus students: Essay - (1300 words): 30%+ Folio Project (2000 words): 40% + Exam (1300 words) 30%
