Synopsis: The unit addresses nursing care of cognitively impaired older people in all care settings. Assessment and intervention strategies are rigorously explored and contemporary care models critically analysed. An exploration of current research initiatives in caring for mentally impaired older clients, challenges students to create innovative new care frameworks to achieve quality care outcomes.

Assessment: Assignment One: 20% Assignment 2: 70% Computer/Written assignment: 10%
