NUR1102Nursing practice 2: Concepts and practice of nursing care (9 points)(MED) Leader: Ailsa Rickards (Gippsland), Joan Yalden (Peninsula)
Offered: Synopsis: The unit builds on concepts introduced in NUR1101 incorporating a lifespan and holistic perspective for nursing care. It also aims to integrate concepts introduced in concurrent units such as microbiology, legal concepts and multi cultural nursing. Assessment: Written clinical based assignment: 30% + Written examination: 50% + Class/tutorial assignment: 20% + Attendance at clinical placements is mandatory and students must pass both theoretical and clinical components in order to pass the unit. Contact Hours: 6 hours per week (lectures, tutorials, labs) plus 150 hours clinical Prerequisites: NUR1101 |
