Synopsis: Energy, first and second law of thermodynamics, properties and state of substances, control volume and control mass energy analysis, steady flow systems, characteristics of thermodynamic systems, thermodynamics of non-reacting mixtures.

Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 60% + Test(s): 20% + Laboratory work: 20%

Prerequisites: ENG1101 and ENG1902
