Theory and Practice of Japanese Interpreting (12 points)

Synopsis: As for JIT4731. Fifth-year students are expected to provide English-Japanese, Japanese-English consecutive interpreting with competency applicable to the workplace as an adjunct to their principal duties.

Assessment: One essay (3000 words): 30% + Mid-semester test (20 minutes for an individual student): 20% End-of-semester test (30 minutes for an individual student): 50%

Contact Hours: 3 hours of workshopsper week

Prerequisites: Completion of JIT4622 or JIT4621
