Synopsis: Topics covered will be chosen from financial, engineering. project management, human resource, and legal issues. Financial issues will include sources of money, evaluation of projects and development of budgets. Engineering issues include project management and related software, risk and feasibility, safety, sustainability. The legal environment includes the legal structure of companies, intellectual property, liability, and standards. Human resources includes industrial relations, training, supervision, leadership and motivation. In tutorials there will be projects as well as assignments.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Assignments: 30%

Contact Hours: 22 lecture hours and 22 laboratory and tutorial hours

Prerequisites: IND3318
