Building construction and materials C (6 points)

Synopsis: This subject integrates the work undertaken in IAR2201 and IAR2202, and uses exaple studies to develop understanding and demonstrate competence in detailing and specifying construction and materials for a range of common interior construction contexts. The subject includes a number of set projects which require students to detail and specify construction and materials to a professional standard, sufficient for construction and briefying of the specialists. Site visits, relavant to the projects, are undertaken.

Assessment: Major project:60% + Exercises:30% + Seminar paper:10%

Contact Hours: 4 hours in class and 8 independent study hours per week

Prerequisites: IAR2202,IAR2305,IAR2302

Corequisites: IAR3105
