Synopsis: This unit involves the introduction of issues concerning interior climate, acoustics, power supply, water supply, waste removal, (hydraulics), lighting, escalators/lifts. The issues of energy efficiency and ecological soundness and the basic science of these issues are covered as case studies examining their resolution in buildings

Assessment: Examination: 40%. Assignments: 60%

Contact Hours: 6 points + 12 hours per week, including; 4 hours in lectures/tutorials and 8 independent study hours per week + First semester, Caulfield + Prerequisites: DGN1001 and IAR1211 and OHS1000
