Synopsis: DC/DC converters; active rectifier systems; software switching systems; resonant converters; selected applications such as uninterruptable power supplies, switch mode power supplies in telecommunications, battery charging systems, high efficiency power supplies for computers.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Laboratory and assignment work: 30%
