Synopsis: This unit provides an introduction to the lifespan perspective on human development. The impact of culture and social change on the human developmental process will be the focus while exploring the physical, cognitive and social aspects of development at each life stage.

Assessment: Essay (1300 words): 25% + Journal, tutorial presentation or on-line assignment (1200 words): 35% + Examination (2 hours): 40%

Contact Hours: 3 hours a week (2-hour lecture, 1-hour tutorial)
