Synopsis: Introduction to supra-organisational systems and the practices of global business. The role of value adding in the supra-organisational context of electronic commerce; internal integration; industry sector structures, processes and the value chain; inter- and multi-organisational systems, including the integration of key processes across organisational boundaries; extra-organisational systems, including EFTPOS, home banking and shopping and electronic service delivery via public kiosks.

Assessment: Assignment 1 (2000 words): 20% + Assignment 2 (research report - 2500 words): 30% + Examination (3 hours) 50%
