Synopsis: Financial planning legislation, regulation, dealers, advisers, licences and proper authorities; the financial planning process, including client interview, data gathering, analysis, portfolio design, taxation and social security; superannuation, eligible termination payments, approved deposit funds, annuities, pensions; social security benefits, allowances and pensions, assets, income, deprivation; law of tort and contract, negligence, duty of care, liability, disclaimers and disclosures.

Assessment: Assignment (2000 words): 30% + Examination (3 hours): 70%

Contact Hours: 3 hours per week

Prerequisites: AFF2631 and recommended corequisite BTF3931
