Synopsis: The first lecture is devoted to a discussion on grammar points and idiomatic expressions. During the second lecture passages from literary prose are read and analysed from a grammatical as well as a cultural viewpoint. These serve as a basis for writing practice and structured conversation and discussion.

Assessment: Written (2 x 250 words, in Indonesian): 25% + Examination (1 hour): 50% + Periodic tests (2): 25%
