Synopsis: Media types and their characteristics. Multimedia applications and their system requirements, stand alone and distributed. Multimedia system analysis and design. Multimedia related hardware and software. Standard multimedia graphic file formats. Research and legal issues in multimedia. Multimedia authoring principles. Manipulation of programming for multimedia objects using a programming language. Architecture of the WWW. Developing WWW documents.
