Studio in electronic commerce

(BUS)

12 points + Berwick + First and second semesters (full year unit) + 3 contact hours plus 9 hours study per week + Prerequisites: ELC2000, ELC2001, IMS2071, BUS2176 + Corequisites: BUS3020, ELC3002, MKB3481, BTW3641

Synopsis: Students will practise the concepts taught throughout the undergraduate degree in a yearlong project culminating in a presentation to industry representatives. Wherever possible, the project will be based upon a real and current business problem and will thus provide students with practice in establishing, scoping and planning a substantial electronic commerce project from inception to completion. Students will be required to apply project management skills learned in BUS2176, systems analysis skills learned in IMS2071, business analysis skills learned in ELC2001, and teamwork and advanced electronic commerce systems design skills learned in ELC2000.

Assessment: Group assignment: 60% + Individual assessment(comprising a journal, studio particpation, attendance and an exam): 40%
