DWG4511Drawing For Contemporary Practice AG(A&D)
6 points + First and second semester + Caulfield + 3 studio hours and 9 hours of independent study per week + Prerequisite: Any of DWG4510, DWG4509, DWG4503, DWG4502, DWG4504, DWG4507 Synopsis: This subject deals with the theoretical and practical issues involved in the drawing of aesthetic proposals that are realised in the form of contemporary practices, such as conceptual and installation art in architectural and environmental contexts. The study deals with both the creation of images that may be installed in actual contexts and the processes used in the pictorial development of visual ideas for possible realisation in other forms and locations. This includes: initial thoughts and conceptions, clarification in response to practical problem solving, and representation as vivid and clear images capable of being presented to a commissioning body or regulatory agency.
