Synopsis: This subject deals with Corporate Groupware beginning with a discussion of the collaboration, coordination and communication business process that exist in a corporation. Discussion of the general form of software and hardware and the terminology and key functions are enumerated, defined and explained. To focus the discussion and ensure students acquire a practical and marketable skill set, the dominant product in the Groupware marketplace, Lotus Notes + Domino Server, is reviewed in the light of the preceding implementation -neutral discussion. Lotus Notes + Domino Server is then examined in detail. Tutorials will allow students access to this product.

Assessment: Assignment: 30% + Examination (2 hours): 70%. Students must pass the examination in order to pass the subject.
