Synopsis: A research project on a topic in Asian studies based on the student's collection of data. The topic must be selected before enrolment in the unit. The paper will be written in English.

Assessment: Research paper (9000 - 10,000 words): 100% + Students who wish to undertake an MA thesis are advised to write a 10,000 word paper.
